      <image:caption>Mr. Low Hui Hui (age: 66 years old) is one of the lawyers of CrossBorders LLC. He graduated from the Singapore University with a LLB (Hons) in 1978. He joined the Singapore Police Force as an Inspector in the same year and retired in 2002 as a Superintendent of Police. During his stint in the Singapore Police Force, he was Head Investigation, the Commander of Tanglin and Central Police Divisions.       <image:caption>Mr Nirmal Singh(“Nirmal”) is one of the lawyers of Crossborders LLC. In 1982, he graduated from the University of London with a Honours degree in Law (LLB). In 1987, he was admitted as a barrister with the Honourable Society of the Lincoln’s Inn. In 1989 he was admitted to the Supreme Court of Singapore as an advocate and solicitor. In 2002, he obtained Master of Laws (LLM) from University of London. He is a former Police Inspector and Prosecutor with the Singapore Police Force. During his stint as an investigator, he investigated many serious and violent criminal cases. As a Prosecutor, he successfully prosecuted the case of Needles-in-boy case based on circumstantial evidence. The accused persons were convicted and sentenced for inserting 53 needles, 16 of them still lodged, in the boy who was then four (4) years old. Reported in The Straits Times, July 1987.     Mr Nirmal started his practice as a litigation lawyer doing criminal and civil litigation and matrimonial work. As a lawyer, he has been representing clients in criminal, white collar crimes, corruption, trafficking in drugs, traffic, immigration, customs cases, and criminal appeals in the Supreme Court. He has also represented clients under the Protection from Harassment Act, Foreign Manpower Act, Betting &amp; Common Gaming Act, Women’s Charter(Prostitution), divorce, Wills and Probate and many other areas of the law. He successfully defended his restaurant owner client who was acquitted for passing off beef as mutton. Reported in The Straits Times, 24 October 2013.   He volunteers with the Legal Assistance Scheme For Capital Offences (“LASCO”), administered by the Supreme Court of Singapore and the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (“CLAS”), administered by the Law Society Pro Bono Services. He has also represented clients at the Military Court Marshall, the Professional Engineers Board Disciplinary Committee, and other disciplinary tribunals.
